What hydro jetting actually does
A jetting nozzle fires water at high pressure through the pipe, scraping the whole wall clean as it travels. That is the difference that matters.
A rod works differently. It pokes a hole through a blockage and gets water moving, leaving grease, root tips and sludge stuck to the pipe wall. That is why a rodded drain so often blocks again within months.
