The questions we hear most

What does a call out cost?

Nothing. Every job starts with a $0 call out, so getting us to your door costs nothing and you only pay for work you approve.

Do you offer same-day plumbing?

Yes, same-day where the schedule allows. Ring early in the day and we'll do our best to fit your job in before the day is out, first come first served.

Which areas do you cover?

We cover the city centre and the suburbs around it, including Cooks Hill, The Hill, Newcastle East, Newcastle West and Bar Beach, with the home page listing the full run.

Can you work on older terraces and heritage buildings?

Yes. Much of the city centre dates from before 1940, and we work with the narrow access, tight walls and dated gas pipework those buildings often carry.

Do you work in apartments and strata buildings?

Yes, regularly. Census figures put 92.8 per cent of local dwellings in the units and apartments column, so strata access and building manager coordination are routine for us.

What plumbing services do you handle?

We handle emergency plumbing, general plumbing, drainage and hot water work, from burst pipes and blocked sewers through to new hot water systems, gas fitting and everyday repairs.

How a booking runs, start to finish

  1. 1

    Call and tell us

Ring (02) 4063 3461 and tell us what's going on in Newcastle. We'll ask a few quick questions so the right gear is on the truck the first time.

  2. 2

    Quote before work

You get the price before anything starts. No call-out fee, no hourly surprises. You approve the quote or we shake hands and leave, no charge.

  3. 3

    The job itself

We turn up when we said we would, protect floors and fittings while we work, and tidy the site before we pack up, whether it's a unit tower or a terrace.

  4. 4

    Backed, no questions asked

If something isn't up to standard afterwards, we come back and make it right, no questions asked. That's the standard every Newcastle job is held to.

What we fix around the city centre

Everything a licensed plumbing team covers, split into four arms:

Not sure which arm your job falls under? Describe it on the phone and we'll point you the right way.

Why local conditions change the answers

Three things about this suburb shape how jobs run here:

Salt air

Buildings near the beach and the harbour cop coastal exposure year round, so external pipework and tap fittings corrode faster than they would inland, and we specify parts to match.

Old ground

The original sewer and stormwater lines under the old CBD are early clay pipework, which cracks and lets tree roots in, so recurring blockages get diagnosed with a camera rather than cleared blind.

Sudden downpours

Around 1,141 mm of rain a year arrives mostly in short heavy bursts, which surcharges the dense CBD stormwater network and backs low-lying foreshore drains up.

Worth knowing before you ring

No surprise extras.

If something changes halfway through a job, we stop and talk it through with you before anything continues. Nothing proceeds that you haven't signed off on.

The work is backed.

If something isn't up to standard, we come back and make it right, no questions asked. That covers a dripping mixer in a studio flat and a full commercial fit-out alike.

We're licensed.

Every job, from a leaking tap to a sewer excavation, is done by licensed plumbers doing compliant work. The about page explains how the team operates.

Strata is normal for us.

With most local dwellings being apartments, coordinating access with building managers and isolating supply in shared plant spaces is part of the weekly routine, not a special case.
